Diesel Technician

We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution business in Miami Lakes, FL You will make an impact in the following ways: Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products Maintain own tools To be successful in this role you will need the following: Completes complex internal engine repairs Performs complex unassisted engine overhauls Ability to troubleshoot with limited/no support from diagnostic tools Detailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and components Mentor junior technicians including technical support and documentation Compensation and Benefits Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Education, Licenses, Certifications: Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred) Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution Locally valid driving permit (Preferred) This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. Experience: Advanced level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products Experience providing technical advice and coaching to more junior technicians (preferred) Collaborates with service leaders, parts personnel, and fellow technicians to prioritize work, optimize shop throughput, and meet customer delivery commitments while maintaining quality and safety standards. Conducts post-repair inspections, operational testing, and quality checks to verify repairs are completed correctly, ensuring equipment is returned to the customer in a reliable and service-ready condition. This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements. This roll will be subject to on-going random drug and alcohol testing.
