Litigation Attorney with 5 Years of Experience

Job Overview A law firm seeks a litigation attorney with over five years of experience in Scottsdale, Arizona. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil litigation, with additional experience in bankruptcy being advantageous. They should be proactive, organized, and possess excellent writing and communication skills, with a preference for those who have completed a clerkship in federal or state appellate court. Duties Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, arbitrations, and depositions. Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents. Manage all phases of litigation, including case strategy and risk assessment. Oversee discovery processes, including document review, interrogatories, and depositions. Advise clients on legal rights, obligations, and potential outcomes. Negotiate settlements when appropriate. Prepare witnesses and clients for trial. Maintain accurate case files and ensure compliance with deadlines and court requirements. Collaborate with paralegals, support staff, and other attorneys. Requirements Active member in good standing with the Arizona State Bar. Minimum 5 years of civil litigation experience. Excellent writing and communication skills. Experience with legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis). Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
