NOC Technician

Job Summary: We are seeking a NOC Technician to join our team in a fast-paced Network Operations Center (NOC) environment. This is a customer-facing role within a NOC call center setting, requiring strong communication skills, teamwork, and the ability to troubleshoot issues efficiently. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced in network monitoring and IT service management. This is a 6 month contract with the potential to convert to full time employment. Location: San Antonio, Texas Job Type: Contract Salary: $27 - 31 per hour Work Hours: Rotating Shifts Education: Bachelors Responsibilities: Monitor and manage enterprise networks, servers, and systems using industry-standard tools. Identify, troubleshoot, and escalate issues as necessary to ensure timely resolution. Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to address incidents and service requests. Maintain detailed documentation of incidents, resolutions, and network performance metrics. Provide excellent customer service while handling technical support inquiries. Qualifications: Experience: 3-5 years in a NOC or enterprise Service Desk environment. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server (2016 and later). Hands-on experience with monitoring tools such as: OpenText Operations Bridge Manager (OBM) Network Node Manager (NNMi) Microsoft Systems Center Operations Manager (SCOM) Other relevant network/system monitoring tools Experience with OpenText SMAX or similar IT service management platforms. Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a high-pressure environment. Preferred (a plus): Familiarity with VMware, network circuits, Windows Server administration, helpdesk support, and backup systems.
