Finance Manager

Owen Daniels is partnered with a defense organization delivering programs for the U.S. Government. They are seeking a Finance Manager to bring strong financial discipline and operational leadership to their operating unit. This is a broad, high-visibility position, combining program finance, business operations, and strategic execution with regular exposure to senior group leadership. Job Summary Coordinate core business management activity spanning accounting, financial planning, and pricing. Own accurate, on-time month-end close. Consolidation, reconciliations, profitability reviews, and cash flow oversight. Lead development of the Annual Operating Plan and Long-Range Plan in line with business strategy. Deliver clear financial analysis and reporting to operating unit and group senior leadership. Prioritize and manage capital expenditure and internal investment activity, securing group approvals. Support proposals end-to-end, from RFP review through award including estimating, rate application, and pricing strategy. Manage compliance activity, including relationships with independent auditors and tax advisors. Lead financial and business risk management across the operating unit. Drive process improvement - automation, workflow redesign, and cost efficiency. Track performance against KPIs, ensuring accountability and continuous improvement. Required and Desirable Experience Direct experience with a U.S. Government contractor, with deep expertise in program finance, accounting, EAC management, and long‑term contract revenue recognition. Experience supporting proposal pricing, business planning, and program financial management in a government contracting environment. Bachelor's or Masters degree with strong government contracting experience Active Secret Security Clearance, or the ability to obtain one. #J-18808-Ljbffr Owen Daniels
