Pharmacy TechnicianAssist pharmacists in preparing, distributing, and managing medications within a pharmacy setting. Ensure accurate, timely, and safe medication handling while supporting overall departmental operations and patient care.Responsibilities:Fill medication orders accurately and promptly for dispensing and patient use.Prepare sterile IVs and other parenteral medications aseptically, following proper techniques and safety protocols.Manage automated dispensing machines by refilling, troubleshooting issues, and performing maintenance checks.Repackage oral medications, verify expiration dates, and maintain proper inventory control, including recalls and stock replenishments.Handle medication distribution requests via various communication channels and deliver medications efficiently across departments.Support team efforts by assisting colleagues, adhering to coverage guidelines, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.Qualifications:Hold a current active registration with the State of New Jersey Board of Pharmacy.Possess at least 2 years of previous hospital pharmacy experience, preferably in oncology or infusion centers.Certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or equivalent credential preferred.Demonstrate knowledge of sterile techniques, IV preparation, and medication safety protocols.Exhibit excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.Communicate effectively and demonstrate professionalism in patient and team interactions.Benefits & Growth:Gain valuable experience in diverse pharmacy operations and sterile compounding.Opportunities to participate in performance improvement and professional development initiatives.Day 1 Medical, Dental, and Vision insuranceTravel reimbursement for assignmentsPaid sick leave and additional valuable benefitsAccess to our $1,000 Inspire a Friend Referral ProgramChoosing TactStaff means partnering with a team that understands the unique demands and rewards of Pharmacy.
