Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CCU/ICU night shift position requiring strong cardiac care background and prior travel assignment experience.

Details

• Acute care setting in the CCU (Cardiac Care Unit), classified as an ICU
• Cares for cardiac intervention patients, including cath lab procedures, STEMIs, and post-code patients
• May also care for patients post-interventional radiology procedures
• Unit may occasionally receive overflow Medical/Surgical ICU patients when no other ICU beds are available
• Uses MEDITECH as the charting system/EMR
• Night shift schedule, 7p-7a
• 12-hour shifts with every other weekend required
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 24-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active RN license (GA or Compact) required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (AHA)
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
• At least 1 prior travel assignment required
• Strong background in cardiac procedures and ICU-level care required
• BSN not required for this position

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to cardiac and post-procedural patients in a fast-paced ICU environment
• 16 hours of orientation provided
• Cancellation policy allows for 12 hours every 2 weeks
• Must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for placement
• Not eligible for placement if previously employed by the facility within the last 12 months
