Field Technician

Job Title: Field Installation Technician – Commercial Security & Life Safety Employment Type: Full-Time, Field-Based Key Responsibilities Installation: Perform comprehensive installation of surveillance, access control, and fire safety systems in commercial environments. Technical Execution: Work hands-on with systems including Verkada (Video/Access), DMP (Intrusion/Security), Digital Watchdog, AiPhone, Kidde, and Notifier. Field Operations: Run low-voltage cabling, mount devices, and ensure systems are brought online according to code and company standards. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50lbs, climb ladders, operate lifts, and work in various weather conditions. On-Call Rotation: Participate in a service rotation approximately one week every 6–8 weeks. Qualifications & Requirements Experience: 1–3+ years of experience in low-voltage installation. Strong preference for Commercial experience; purely residential background may not be a fit. Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with Verkada and DMP is highly preferred. Experience with Kidde or Notifier is a plus. Certifications: NICET Level 1 is highly advantageous. OSHA and Lift certifications are a bonus. Soft Skills: Must take ownership of work performed, high integrity, and professional communication skills for client-facing work. Compensation & Benefits Pay Scale: $25+ Room for negotiation dependent on experience/certifications. Overtime: Paid at 1.5x (Expected ~4–5 hours of OT per week).
