Position Details: Respiratory Therapist- Gainesville, FL Location: 6500 Newberry Road, PO Box 147006, Gainesville, FL 32614 Project Duration: Full time Permanent + Sign on bonus up to $15k Shift Timing: Nights and Evenings (Rotating Weekends) Position Summary: Knowledge of patient responses, side effects and proper dosages of medications used in respiratory care. Able to communicate effectively with Physicians, patients, managers and the publics. Ability to teach/instruct, assess and reassess others. Able to recognize and report abuse and neglect in patients. Knowledge of generally accepted practices in respiratory care as prescribed by the physician. Delivers, set-up, and maintains routine and non-routine therapies and equipment (i.e., oxygen, aerosol therapy, ventilators) utilized by Respiratory Therapy. Ability to perform and interpret Arterial Blood Gases
Requirements: 1yr min of RRT exp required (ICU, CVICU, NICU, PICU, Critical care unit) * Would consider those with home care and/or long term care experience * Would Also consider CRT experience FL State Respiratory License NBRC RRT/CRT Basic Cardiac Life Support(BLS) ACLS- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date NRP - Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date PALS - Pediatric Advs. Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
