Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis

IDEAYA Biosciences seeks a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager to support clinical trial budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. The role partners with clinical operations and finance leadership to drive financial planning and analysis for an oncology-focused biotech company.
Responsibilities
- Develop enterprise-level financial planning including annual budgets, forecasts, and sensitivity analyses
- Support clinical trial budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and monthly accrual preparation
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial performance reports with variance analysis for leadership and board
- Analyze internal financial data to identify trends and provide insights for business decision-making
- Build and maintain relationships with clinical teams, program management, and external CROs as finance partner
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA or CPA preferred
- 4-7 years of related experience in growth company or public accounting
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Solid knowledge of US GAAP accounting and financial statement preparation
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple concurrent priorities
- Biotech or pharmaceutical industry experience preferred; Big 4 life sciences experience a plus
