Plant equipment includes, but is not limited to, chemical processing, product packaging, and water/wastewater treatment equipment associated with production as well as facilities associated with buildings and infrastructure.Essential FunctionsMaintain and repair all production equipment.Perform preventive maintenance to production equipment.Organize and maintain an organized maintenance shopMaintain spare parts inventory list and organize inventoryInteract with Engineer & Production Team; coordinate jobs/projects on a daily basisReview all work orders and complete all required work.Make recommendations on equipment replacement.Manage contractors performing repairs and improvements to the facility:Create scope of work, receive quotes and manage.Call in/guide Contractors to repair break downs to minimize down timePrepare Purchase Orders for vendorsComplete and document the following inspections/exercises:Monthly Fire Extinguisher, Sprinkler System Inspections; maintain records.Will also perform maintenance on related equipment, such as pumps, motors, PLC, control panels, conveyors, bag sealers, screw feeders, mills, centrifuge, agitators, chemical process vessels, level sensors, actuated valves.Safety/QualityMust adhere to and demonstrate safe work practices, including wearing required PPE and following safe work practices.Education and ExperienceHigh School diploma (or GED).5 years maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing environment. Experience with troubleshooting, repairing, replacing and installing some of the listed components / related equipment is required; strong preference for experience in most, if not all components.Knowledgeable of industrial manufacturing equipment (piping, pumps, blowers, valves)Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawingsGeneral plumbing knowledge and working experience with pipe fitting and pipe fitting tools is strongly preferredWorking experience with line breaks involving chemicals (acids, bases, flammables)General electrical knowledge and working experience with single phase and low voltage control wiring is strongly preferredGeneral instrument/controls knowledge and ability to pinpoint equipment operational issues to mechanical or electrical or instrument controls so as to reach out to the proper resource.Working experience with pneumatics and hydraulicsDetail oriented with demonstrated analytical and troubleshooting skillsAbility to speak, understand, read, and write EnglishAdditional Requirements and ResponsibilitiesMust possess manual dexterity and the ability to lift 50 poundsAbility to work in plant with multiple levels requiring ascending steps, ladders and working on decks / roofs.Will enter confined spaces through existing manwaysAbility to be certified for respirator useAbility to operate powered industrial equipment including forklifts and manliftsMust have a housekeeping mindset and keep work areas organized and clean, auditing maintenance worksite conditions routinely to ensure organization and cleanlinessMust be able to support after-hour repairs; will be required to carry company cell phone as needed to troubleshoot repair issues over the phone or in-person when needed.Salary for this role is $27 - $33 / hr, based on experience.Following receipt of a conditional offer of employment, candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processes as permitted or required by applicable law.We are an equal opportunity employer, and all applicants will be considered for employment without attention to their membership in any protected class.
