And we’re reimagining how space can connect us, ensuring security and prosperity.Join us in shaping a new era in space and find a career that's built for you.The Space Security Division within Lockheed Martin Space’s National Security Space business area is seeking a Software Engineering Manager experienced in agile methodologies to drive the execution of multiple projects/programs by leading a team of Software Developers and Engineers.Reporting into the Engineering & Technology organization of Space, the selected agile leader will: Directly and indirectly support the execution of classified and unclassified programs via a combination of direct program work and indirect staffing support, engineering planning, workforce management, and organizational strategy Manage a team of roughly 15-18 engineers Have direct cost, execution, and schedule oversight for project/program budgets Lead, drive, and energize a team of multiple skills and job disciplines across multiple programs & business pursuits Adapt to agile management methods that will require a dynamic staffing approach, depending on the time-phased needs of the program Deliver on Functional Management tasks related to personnel such as: career development, salary planning, training, employee development, succession planning, and the execution of strategic staffing initiativesAgile leader duties will include at least one of the following based on need and experienced skillset: product ownership/management, cost account management, release management, escalation and removal team impediments, management of risk and the drive for continuous improvement.Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified informationBasic Qualifications:• Demonstrated experience in full lifecycle of Software Engineering or Systems Engineering for software intensive projects• Demonstrated experience and understanding managing software and systems engineering efforts using Agile methods, processes, and practices• Recent formal leadership experience (within the last year)• Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearanceDesired Skills:• Ability to adapt, teach, mentor, and guide Individual Contributors• Full Spectrum Leadership behavior, attitude, and perspective• Experience supporting geographically dispersed team• Strong Interpersonal Skills• Experience in delivery of systems and/or software releases to customers• Experience leading and contributing to software systems using modern practices, tools, technologies, and languages• Proposal and BOE experience• Recent Experience as Product Owner, Scrum Master, and/or Release Train Engineer• Experience Interviewing and Building Teams• Agile certifications (e.g. Product Owner, Scrum Master, SAFe, etc.)#LMSpaceSoftwareEng #SpaceSecurity#SpaceNSSSecurity Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.Clearance Level: TS/SCIOther Important Information You Should KnowExpression of Interest: By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match.
