A bit about us: A well-established nonprofit healthcare organization is seeking a hands-on finance leader to oversee accounting, billing, revenue cycle, payroll, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, KPIs, and financial operations. This role reports directly to the CEO and Board of Directors and leads a small team across accounting, AR, billing, payroll, and finance. The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting and finance leadership experience, healthcare or nonprofit exposure, and the ability to improve processes, reporting, and revenue cycle visibility across a growing organization. - Oversee accounting, billing, payroll, AR, revenue cycle, and financial operations
- Lead financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, KPIs, and variance analysis
- Prepare financial statements and present reporting to leadership and the Board
- Supervise a small team across finance, billing, payroll, AR, and accounting
- Partner with the CEO and leadership team on strategy, process improvement, and financial decision-making
- Monitor billing, reimbursement, payer revenue, claims, collections, and revenue stream performance
- Work with outside CPA firm on audit preparation and compliance
- Create and improve workflows, SOPs, dashboards, reporting, and internal controls
- Support vendor, payer, insurance, and partner negotiations as needed
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 5-8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
- Supervisory or team leadership experience required
- Healthcare, nonprofit, multi-location, billing, reimbursement, revenue cycle, or payer revenue experience strongly preferred
- Strong budgeting, forecasting, KPI, dashboard, variance analysis, and financial reporting experience
- CPA, CMA, CFA, or master's degree is a plus
- Strong Excel, systems, reporting, and analytical skills
- Ability to lead teams, improve processes, and partner with executive leadership
- Stable work history preferred
