Material Handler

Job Title: Material Handler Job Description
The Material Handler safely manages inventory, assembles aluminum kits, and supports daily operations in the shop while transporting materials between the Tempe site and a nearby customer site. This role focuses on accurate material handling, basic computer-based inventory tasks, and reliable local driving to ensure materials arrive where they are needed, on time and in good condition.
Responsibilities

• Handle inventory and materials accurately, including receiving, storing, and organizing stock.
• Assemble aluminum kits according to provided specifications and work instructions.
• Support general shop activities and assist team members with material-related tasks as needed.
• Distribute materials from the Tempe site to the customer site in Chandler using a company vehicle.
• Safely handle PVC and installation materials, ensuring proper loading, securing, and unloading.
• Unload incoming materials and verify that deliveries match documentation.
• Use basic computer skills and Microsoft 365 applications to track inventory, update records, and complete required documentation.
• Operate a full-size F-150 company vehicle in a safe and responsible manner while traveling between sites.
• Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques and safe material handling practices.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in the shop and in the vehicle.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of warehouse or material handling experience.
• Proficiency with basic computer skills and the ability to use the Microsoft 365 suite.
• Experience with inventory handling and material handling in a warehouse or shop environment.
• Ability to lift up to 65 pounds safely and repeatedly as part of daily duties.
• Ability to drive and operate a full-size F-150 company vehicle safely.
• Clean driving record suitable for operating a company vehicle.
• OSHA 10 certification obtained prior to starting.
• Ability to safely unload materials and handle PVC and installation materials.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability in following procedures and work instructions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Interest in pursuing a technical degree that can support advancement into field service or field operations roles.
• Willingness to learn additional technical skills related to field services and operations.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with shop and field personnel.
• Comfort working both in a shop environment and on the road between sites.

Work Environment
This role is primarily based at a shop in Tempe, with regular travel to a customer site in Chandler to deliver materials using a full-size F-150 company vehicle. You will work with aluminum components, PVC, and various installation materials in a hands-on, warehouse and shop environment. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Work involves physical activity, including lifting up to 65 pounds, unloading materials, and moving inventory, while following OSHA and company safety procedures at all times.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tempe, AZ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
