Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

The physician will provide professional medical services within the practicing specialty, delivering direct patient care and performing related duties such as completing medical records, providing MyChart consultations, in‑basket management, patient education, and collaborating with advanced practice providers and care team members.

Responsibilities

• Manage the medical care of the patient panel by arranging inpatient hospital care as needed, including hospital rounds or coordination with hospitalists, in accordance with medical staff requirements.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and care team members to ensure excellent patient outcomes at clinic locations and any BJC outreach sites assigned.
• Perform and document medical histories and physicals in the patient’s medical record as required by hospital bylaws.
• Provide or arrange for call coverage for clinic patients and inpatient call coverage in a manner acceptable to BJC and consistent with medical staff bylaws and all applicable policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with and teach advanced practice providers, support staff, or any care team member assigned to the physician’s patient panel.
• Maintain safety‑sensitive performance, staying alert and operating safely as required by the position.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: Doctorate (Medicine)
• Experience: <2 years
• Supervisor Experience: None
• Licenses & Certifications: Board Eligible or Board Certified in Rheumatology and Licensed Physician
• Preferred Requirements: 2–5 years of clinical experience
