Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Rehabilitation - Inpatient Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1+ Years of Long-Term Care and/or Rehabilitation RN Experience License: Active Ohio or Compact RN License Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association) Must-Have: - Excellent customer service skills - Ability to exhibit patience and tact with physicians, patients, and associates - Strong cooperative and collaborative skills - Ability to work efficiently in stressful situations - Knowledge of healthcare principles and practices - Ability to use independent judgment - Basic computer skills and electronic medical records experience - Flexibility to float to all units within skill level Description: The Registered Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the care of assigned patients on their shift. RN responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care using age-specific criteria and nursing processes. The RN assists in planning, directing, and teaching non-RN staff. They coordinate patient care in collaboration with other members of an interdisciplinary team. Educating patients and families is essential, along with utilizing resources to prepare patients for discharge. The position requires demonstrating flexibility with schedule changes and being available for call as required by the department.
