Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Summary:


Provide specialized critical care nursing services to patients in the ICU, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support patient recovery and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients’ conditions continuously and document findings accurately using Meditech charting.
• Administer medications, perform dressings, and execute advanced procedures such as intubations, central lines, and NG tube placements.
• Monitor and respond to patient vital signs and clinical changes promptly.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, including badging-in/out and lunch breaks.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment, adhering to dress code and appearance policies.

Qualifications:

• Valid Texas RN license; temporary licenses are not accepted.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of recent ICU experience, preferably in MICU or MSICU settings.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke certifications required; NICU/ICU advanced skills preferred.
• Strong critical thinking, time management, and communication skills.
• Experience with Meditech electronic health record system.
• Ability to work 13-week contractual assignment with rotating shifts.
