The Role The Market Research team is the heart of CoStar, capturing critical information that enables our commercial real estate clients to make informed, high impact business decisions daily. CoStar Group’s research contributes to the most important segment of our economy, helping businesses open offices, retail stores, warehouses, and manufacturing facilities. Costar Group is seeking a Market Manager to join our growing research organization. As a Market Manager, you will be leading a team of Researchers who are responsible for investigating and profiling companies to help owners, brokers and real estate professionals identify which companies are best suited for their buildings. This position is in office Monday through Friday. Responsibilities Lead a team of 8 plus Associate Research Consultants dedicated to delivering comprehensive market coverage of accurate and complete commercial real estate information to CoStar clients Foster a strong team culture and provide regular coaching to the development of the team Ensure continuous delivery of timely, comprehensive, and accurate information for the assigned markets/region whilst providing CoStar clients with the highest standard of customer service Conduct regular call evaluations, training and mentoring sessions with your team Coach and guide your team to produce meaningful telephone interactions consisting of effective questioning, listening, probing and sharing of information Coach, mentor, and develop team members through individual development plans tailored to skills, competency, and career development that results in a center of excellence Prepare quarterly “Territory Plans” outlining planned improvements in data coverage/depth, relationships, and talent management initiatives Investigate information resources of the assigned market/region to ensure all possible data sources are researched; information is captured, inputted and published in a timely manner and to the highest quality standards Conduct market/regional audits to ensure real‑time data is being used by clients to make investment decisions Oversee the preparation of comprehensive market reports on a quarterly basis Basic Qualifications External applicants: Bachelor's degree from an accredited, not-for-profit, in‑person University or College Track record of commitment to prior employers 2+ years previous experience leading a team of 6 or more individuals 2+ years of experience in a professional, corporate environment 2+ years of experience within commercial real estate 1+ years of Microsoft Office experience Microsoft Excel experience is required Flexibility to work shifts aligned with ET, CT, MT, or PT time zones Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated interest and/or experience in the commercial real estate industry Experience with creating effective KPIs and meeting performance metrics, being results-oriented Leadership and management skills, including the ability to prioritize and control workload of a team, coaching, and mentoring on professional development Ability to work as part of a team Success in building strong, cohesive teams by leading and motivating towards action/execution through influence and collaboration Ability to articulate and execute corporate strategy, well‑communicated with the ability to influence Experience and demonstrated proficiency with Excel that includes the ability to manipulate data, filter, and develop basic formulas Creative problem solving, attention to detail, objectivity and the ability to think strategically Analytical approach with the ability to interpret information and trends, adapting quickly Ability to interact at all levels and establish rapport with both internal and external stakeholders Benefits Comprehensive healthcare coverage: Medical / Vision / Dental / Prescription Drug Life, legal, and supplementary insurance Commuter and parking benefits 401(K) retirement plan with matching contributions Employee stock purchase plan Paid time off Tuition reimbursement On‑site fitness center and/or reimbursed fitness center membership costs (location dependent), with yoga studio, Peletons, personal training, group exercise classes Access to CoStar Group's Employee Resource Groups Complimentary gourmet coffee, tea, hot chocolate, prepared foods, fresh fruit, and other healthy snacks Base Compensation: $100,000 with performance-based bonus.
