Growing Charleston SC print and graphic company seeking full-time day shift Production Manager to run and maintain our fast-paced production and print facility. This is an opportunity to work closely with a talented team on small and large projects, offering our clients an in-depth personal experience to maximize the full potential of their projects. The successful candidate must be ambitious and entrepreneurial minded as well as having a positive attitude and a team-work mentality

Graphic Production Position:

Working with clients and our graphic design team, the Graphic Production Position is responsible for offering various solutions to realize the client’s vision as well as managing the print production team to facilitate its fabrication within deadlines. This requires an understanding of different vinyl films substrates and applications, good customer service skills as well as digital design and print software knowledge. Knowledge of Print Graphics Industry is a must.

Position Type : Full-Time 9:00 am- 5:30pm; willing to work occasional weekends.

Job Type: Salary Commensurate to Experience, plus monthly bonus program based on profitability.

Qualifications:

• 2-5 years of related experience operating similar equipment
• Driver's License Required

Duties:

• Operating Plotter, Router, Canon UV Printer, Latex Printer and Mutoh UV ADA Layered Printer
• Ability to build all types of signage
• Manage and optimize workload and production materials, prioritize multiple projects per due dates, and streamline the production flow
• Maintain Equipment
• Organization of Production Facility
• Inventory and Product Ordering
• Review Work Orders and organizing projects per notes
• Liaison with Design, Sales and Accounting Departments

Skills and Abilities:

• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites
• Complete pre-press set up in Adobe based platforms (Acrobat InDesign, Pagemaker, Illustrator, Photoshop) for both Mac and PC
• Proficient in the ONYX Rip Software
• Create Job Tickets for production.
• Prep files for print and / or work with the design team to prep files for print.
• Print proofs and obtain approvals from clients and ensure proofs are approved prior to print.
• Loading and unloading specified materials, attending to any issues with printers/routers and ensuring the overall smoothness of the job.
• Operate all equipment, software, and devices in an expert fashion and is willing to teach others
• Maintains a clean, organized, and safe working environment. Capable of performing all troubleshooting procedures
• Frequently multi-task while maintaining extreme attention to detail and high-quality control
• Understand color management and apply file adjustments
• Monitor inventory of supplies needed and keep supplies neat and orderly
• Document and list all equipment problems
• Highly self-motivated
• Good communication and people skills
• Develop and maintain relationships with Vendors to uphold print production.
• Reads and understands all job requirements before beginning desktop process
• Demonstrates dedication and persistence to successfully finish tasks
• Able to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment and multi-task
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong decision making and communication skills to ensure client’s needs.
• Can be flexible and adapt to challenging situations.
