Contract | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts (18:45–07:15) | Onsite | 13-week contracts accepted

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit managing diagnoses including COPD, CHF, Diabetes, infectious diseases, and general med/surg conditions
• Perform continuous telemetry monitoring, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Administer blood products, manage peripheral lines, and start and maintain IVs
• Apply and monitor oxygen delivery methods including nasal cannula and oxygen tanks, and maintain isolation precautions and proper PPE use
• Float to other units as needed and participate in an on-call rotation during low-census situations
• Document using paper charting and communicate using SBAR; utilize manual dispense carts for medication management

Required Qualifications

• Active NC RN license or valid Compact RN license (pending licensure acceptable for submission)
• Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg and/or Telemetry nursing experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, blood product administration, IV placement and maintenance, CVA care, and oxygen administration
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Local candidates are welcome and eligible at the applicable local rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with IV insulin protocols, heparin drips, insulin management, and cardiac drip management (non-titration)
• Familiarity with BiPAP/CPAP management, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), non-invasive airway management, oral suctioning, and wound care/wound vac
• ACLS and/or NIHSS certification preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
