Surgical Tech

JOB SUMMARY

Seeking a Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST) for a short-term acute care facility. Key Responsibilities Assist surgeons during operative and diagnostic procedures. Prepare the operating room by selecting and placing equipment and supplies. Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control policies. Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment. Perform surgical scrub duties. Maintain accurate patient records. Schedule / Shift On-call required: 100 hours per 4‑week schedule period. Weekends required as part of on-call duties. Block schedules are not required. Required Qualifications Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Orthopedic experience, including total joints, sports medicine, and trauma. Spine surgery experience. Surgical First Assistant (NBSTSA) certification preferred. Experience 4 years of travel experience preferred. Specific experience in orthopaedic (total joints, sports medicine, trauma) and spine procedures is required. Skills Proficient in surgical techniques and sterile procedures. Ability to anticipate surgeon's needs. Strong communication and teamwork skills. EMR / Systems Epic charting system. Patient Population General adult surgical patients. Unit / Specialty Operating Room (OR). Expected patient ratios: 1:1. Floating / On-Call Floating between units is not expected. On-call is required. #J-18808-Ljbffr Compunnel, Inc.
