Global Senior Director, Medical Affairs

Global Senior Director of Medical Affairs leads execution of medical and scientific strategies across therapeutic areas, primarily supporting the U.S. market while engaging international stakeholders. The role requires deep subject-matter expertise, cross-functional collaboration, and strategic oversight of medical value narratives, data generation, and educational initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Execute annual Value & Implementation plans with medical affairs colleagues across key countries and regions
- Translate global scientific platforms into actionable Medical Value Narratives for assigned therapeutic areas
- Serve as medical representative within Product Development sub-teams spanning clinical, commercial, and publications
- Organize global expert-input events, advisory boards, and symposia to inform medicine development and implementation
- Manage assigned budget with strong financial stewardship and coordinate local data-generation studies
Requirements
- M.D., Ph.D., or Pharm.D. (M.D. preferred) with recognized medical expertise
- Experience in country/region medical affairs or clinical development
- Strong prioritization, decision-making, and strategic thinking skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively across matrix organization divisions
- Excellent written and oral communication and analytical skills
- Three years regional medical affairs experience preferred
- Customer expertise with scientific leaders, payers, and key stakeholders
