Registered Respiratory Therapist - Adult - Ashley River Tower

Overview Registered Respiratory Therapist – Adults, Charleston, SC. Full‑time (36 hours per week) at MUSC Health. Responsibilities Provide diagnostic testing, assessment of sputum, blood, and breath specimens, and determine oxygen, carbon dioxide, and other gas levels. Measure lung capacity to identify impaired function. Administer physician‑prescribed treatments and manage ventilators. Supervise respiratory therapy technicians and collaborate with medical teams. Assist with the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with pulmonary disorders. Deliver patient‑centered care in a Level I trauma, Magnet‑recognized hospital environment. Qualifications & Requirements Graduate of a CoARC‑accredited respiratory therapy program. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential by the NBRC. Licensed by the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing & Regulation Board of Medical Examiners. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or equivalent). Physical ability to lift, bend, walk, and perform required patient‑care activities, including lifting up to 50 lbs. Capacity to work rotating shifts, overtime, and in various environmental conditions (confined spaces, elevated areas). Benefits and Compensation Sign‑on bonus: up to $15,000 for experienced therapists, up to $10,000 for new graduates. Relocation assistance: up to $3,200.
