As a reliability engineer, you will join a team of engineers and technical specialists and collaborate with cross-functional teams to participate in projects and processes to optimize wind turbine performance, increase reliability, and reduce costs. The ideal candidate will be able to operate independently, creatively solve complex technical issues, be comfortable with statistical data-analytics, manage their time across multiple projects, develop/mentor their teammates, and communicate effectively across organizational stakeholders at all levels. Alternate position levels are available for the right candidate.Responsibilities Include:Developing and implementing reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) programs to improve equipment and system reliabilityConducting root cause analyses of equipment failures, developing, and implementing corrective actions, validating improvement results, and driving replication opportunities (Continuous Improvement)Developing and implementing predictive maintenance programsAnalyzing equipment data and developing statistical models to predict equipment failure and improve maintenance strategiesDeveloping and maintaining equipment maintenance procedures, standards, and guidelinesProviding technical support to cross-functional teams on equipment reliability and maintenance-related issuesDeveloping and maintaining equipment life-cycle management plansParticipating in training for operations and maintenance personnel on equipment reliability, maintenance strategies, and best practicesIdentifying and prioritizing critical equipment and systems for maintenance and optimizationMaintaining compliance with all safety and environmental regulations and policiesProviding coaching, mentoring, and direction to cross-functional teammates – especially on continuous improvement projectsConducting internal and external research to stay aware of new development, innovative advancements, and emerging technologies pertaining to technical areas of expertiseSupporting engineering projects, initiatives, and event responses as neededPerforming other job-related duties as assignedThe Ideal Candidate Has The Following:Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills across various internal and external stakeholder groupsAbility to work in a team environment and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teamsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with graphical data analysisFamiliarity with reliability engineering tools and techniques, such as FMEA and FTAExperience with statistical analysis and data-driven decision-makingExperience with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, and PowerBi)Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslySix Sigma Certified – Green Belt or Black Belt and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) CertificationField operations experience or prior experience supporting field operationsExperience in Enterprise Asset Management systems (e.g. Maximo) and PowerBI DevelopmentKnowledge of renewable energy technologies, including wind, solar, and energy storage systemsThis individual must be willing to travel to project sites and climb wind turbines >350 ft as needed (<10%)Job OverviewEmployees in this role have responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating assignments.
