Senior Cost Accountant

Work Schedule: On-site for the first 6 months; then hybrid (3 days in office / 2 days remote) Compensation: $105,000 - $115,000 + ESOP Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, PTO, sick days, flexible spending accounts, 17 days of PTO + 10 paid holidays, paid bonding leave, charitable giving match, disability and life insurance, 401(k) and ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership). Our client, a rapidly growing employee-owned organization with a long-standing reputation for delivering complex, large-scale projects across the United States, is hiring a Senior Cost Accountant to join their growing team! This is an exciting opportunity to join a scaling company experiencing significant year-over-year growth. This is not a traditional manufacturing cost accounting role. The ideal candidate will come from a construction, engineering, contracting, or other project-basedenvironmentand have strong experience with project accounting, job costing, revenue recognition, and financial analysis. Responsibilities: Analyze project costs, budgets, and financial performance to ensure accurate presentation in company financials Perform job cost and variance analysis, identifying trends, risks, and areas requiring attention Prepare and review cost-to-complete/CAC reporting on a weekly project basis Support revenue recognition and project forecasting activities Prepare revenue forecasts and financial reporting for Finance and executive leadership Partner with Project Managers and operational leadership to resolve costing and accounting issues Identify project financial risks and communicate findings to Finance management Prepare backlog, budget, job cost, and other operational finance reports Assist with development and maintenance of cost accounting processes, systems, and procedures Support internal audits and financial reviews Prepare financial information for bids, proposals, and other business initiatives Travel periodically to regional offices to support operations, conduct month-end reviews, and provide training on financial procedures and systems Mentor and support junior accounting team members Assist with process improvement and implementation of financial systems and tools Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field 5+ years of relevant accounting or financial management experience Construction/project-based accounting experience required Experience with revenue recognition and percentage-of-completion accounting Strong experience with job costing, project financials, and variance analysis Experience preparing cost-to-complete/CAC reporting Strong understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting Advanced Excel skills; experience with Oracle Fusion is preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively with Project Managers, Finance leadership, and cross-functional operational teams Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
