Charge RN Burn Unit

As a Charge RN in the Burn Unit at HCA Healthcare, you will provide clinical leadership at the bedside while coordinating the delivery of highly specialized, compassionate care for patients with complex burn injuries. Working within the Healthcare & Medical Services department, you will function as both an expert burn nurse and a unit resource, overseeing patient assignments, supporting staff, and ensuring that evidence-based standards of care are consistently met. You will collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, rehabilitation specialists, and other interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans that address acute burn management, pain control, fluid resuscitation, wound care, infection prevention, and psychosocial support for patients and their families.

In this role, you will lead by example on each shift, triaging admissions, facilitating patient flow, and prioritizing care based on acuity. You will mentor and guide nurses and support staff, provide real-time coaching on burn-specific interventions, and help coordinate procedures such as dressing changes, graft care, and complex wound management. You will monitor clinical indicators, respond rapidly to changes in patient condition, and coordinate with the healthcare team to implement appropriate interventions, while maintaining a safe environment that adheres to strict infection control and burn isolation protocols.
