Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week assignment requiring community hospital experience and compact RN licensure.
Details
- Work in the Intensive Care Unit caring for adult patients
- Day shift schedule, 4x12 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Both 36 and 48 hour weekly schedules accepted
- Every other weekend coverage required
- Floating required to Med-Surg/Tele and Tele units within scope of practice
- Uses Accudose medication system and Cerner for documentation
- SBAR communication system utilized
Requirements
- Active CT or compact RN license required
- Minimum 3 years of ICU experience required
- Community hospital experience required
- Current certifications: ACLS and BLS (CPI, NIHSS, and TNCC preferred)
- Cerner charting experience preferred
- Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Experience with Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring
- Central line care and management experience
- Proficient in starting and maintaining IVs
- Experience caring for ventilated patients and ventilator management
Additional Information
- Provide critical care nursing to adult ICU patients including cardiovascular and respiratory cases
- Responsible for titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips
- Adheres to infection prevention and isolation precaution protocols
- Blue scrubs required
- Candidates within 75 miles are considered local
