Summary of Job Duties:
The Groundskeeper, under the direction of the UAMS Landscape Manager, performs landscaping and grounds maintenance for healthcare, education, and research facilities throughout the UAMS campus. This position maintains safe, clean, and attractive outdoor spaces and assists in responding to campus facility-related issues and emergencies as needed.
Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED, PLUS one (1) year of experience in landscaping and/or schooling in the trade.
• Valid AR Driver's license with fewer than 12 points on their Motor Vehicle Record
• Basic computer experience required

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School Diploma PLUS five to ten (5-10) years of landscaping and grounds experience

Additional Information:

Responsibilities

• Maintains campus turf by mowing, trimming, edging, watering, seeding, and fertilizing grass areas using appropriate landscaping equipment.
• Assists Landscape Technicians with preparing, installing, and maintaining decorative landscaping features, including flowers, plants, shrubs, ornamental grasses, trees, planters, and borders.
• Applies approved insecticides and weed-control products and assists with maintaining sprinkler systems and fountains in accordance with safety procedures.
• Maintains roads, building entrances and exits, sidewalks, and parking lots during inclement weather to support safe access and continued facility operations.
• Completes required documentation for the Engineering and Operations work-order system and preventive maintenance program.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
