National Account Executive

APi National Service Group (APi NSG) is looking for a driven individual to join our growing team. The National Account Executive directly supports the organization’s growth and success by driving new national sales opportunities and securing new contracts. This role is responsible for developing internal and external relationships to expand our customer base and market presence.This position collaborates closely with internal teams and our sister companies to develop strategic solutions, present NSG’s capabilities, and deliver a consistent customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Drive new business

• Identify, pursue, and secure new national account sales within target markets
• Build and maintain a qualified pipeline and actively manage opportunities
• Develop an understanding of each customer’s business and unique needs, and present NSG’s capabilities and value proposition in a consultative manner

Sister company and vendor partner relationships

• Develop and maintain relationships with sister companies, serving as a trusted representative of NSG and partnering with them to identify and pursue opportunities
• Work to understand sister company and 3 rd party capabilities, service areas, and strengths
• Network and build relationships inside and outside of APi Group

Partner with Account Executives/Program Development Consultants

• Transition of some customers to account executive for future development
• Strategy for growing existing customers
• Share information and develop plans for growth with internal customers

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and extensive subject matter expertise
• 5+ years of experience in account management or business development
• Ability and willingness for out of state travel 50%
• Experience in a national service trade industry(multi- location national accounts)
• Able to work independently as a self-starter, taking initiative and proactively anticipating needs
• Competitive with a track record of successful negotiations
• Strong oral and written communication skills with experience engaging and building relationships with both internal and external senior leaders

Working Conditions

This full-time position is based in Shoreview, MN. Out-of-state travel will be required.

Benefits and Compensation

The pay range is $100,000-150,000, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is also eligible for commission.
