This position is part of a larger cluster hire that includes the Mechanical Engineering Department, the Computer Science and Engineering Department, and the Ross School of Business; the goal of the cluster is to position Michigan as a national leader in cognitive manufacturing, which is the intersection of next generation artificial intelligence, advanced manufacturing, and supply chain resilience.Responsibilities*We expect the faculty member to work closely with faculty in other units to advance next-generation resilient manufacturing systems, including resilient supply chains. All who have strong backgrounds in disciplines relevant to mechanical engineering and the manufacturing sciences are welcome to apply.
