Minimum Requirements:

NYS Teaching Certification in School Social Work

Position Summary/Responsibilities: Develop and implement innovative strategies to support building with attendance needs

Provide family outreach and wrap around services

Work collaboratively with school district staff and administration to meet the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students

Provide school-based counseling and implement social skill's lessons in classrooms

Serve as a representative on the Committee on Special Education (CSE)

Develop, implement, and progress monitor student Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals

Provide Parent Counseling and Training and/or facilitate multidisciplinary team meetings

Serve as an active member of the crisis team and support students in crisis

Participate in Rti meetings to problem-solve and review student progress

Serve as a liaison and assist families with accessing district and community supports/services

Directly reports to building principal but assignments completed out of the Office of Student Services and Pupil Personnel Services

All other duties as assigned.

All teachers who are new to Greece will be required to attend two teacher induction days in the month of August.
