Interim Controller (Birmingham, AL) | $55–65/hr Our client is seeking an Interim Controller to lead core accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and maintain strong internal controls during a transition period. This role reports to the CFO and partners closely with cross‑functional leadership. Key Responsibilities Oversee monthly close and prepare GAAP financial statements. Manage budgeting updates, forecasts, and variance analysis. Strengthen internal controls and ensure policy and regulatory compliance. Oversee AP/AR, cash application, and working capital processes. Maintain financial systems and drive process improvements and automation. Partner with leadership on financial insights and operational decision support. Lead and support the accounting team as needed during the interim period. Qualifications Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance; CPA preferred. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience. Strong GAAP, financial analysis, and ERP system skills. Hands‑on experience with internal controls, reconciliations, and month‑end close. Strong analytical skills, detail‑oriented, and able to step in quickly. Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally. #J-18808-Ljbffr
