Financial Analyst I

Job Responsibilities Data mine, gather, analyze, and summarize financial, sales, and operational data. Organize data to identify trends, causes, and effect correlation. Run and download reports. Prepare financial sales and operations scheduled variance analysis. Conduct additional analysis as requested. Maintain financial forecast models. Ensure data quality, validation, and cleanup. Develop documents, templates, and job aids. Identify data trends, project financial impact, and summarize data and conclusions. Draft PowerPoint presentations for upper management review. Apply formal education to business environment in compliance with regulations and policies. Work under general guidance; may be peer reviewed for accuracy, quality, and education, escalating issues to manager for assistance and guidance. Exhibit accountability for behaviors. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Initiate discussions regarding assignments, expectations, priorities, and deadlines; seek guidance and coaching from manager. Notify manager when workload is light and volunteer for additional work. Adjust effectively to new work structures, processes, requirements, or cultures. Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or a related field. Experience: bookkeeping, accounting, or financial internship work preferred. Demonstrate knowledge and application of regulations. Cognitive ability: reason, plan, identify problems, think abstractly, comprehend complex ideas, learn quickly, learn from experience, and appropriately apply learning to new situations. Process and results oriented; motivated to keep projects moving ahead by removing obstacles and exploring alternatives. Apply best practices in documenting business requirements iteratively, particularly using agile methodologies. Ability to create clear reports and data visualizations to assist others in decision‑making and problem analysis. Conversant in technical discipline acumen. Positive attitude, drive to advance understanding of the industry and business, and highly self‑motivated. Ability to build professional and trusting business relations. Professional written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in MS Office Suite; advanced application of Excel.
