You’ll gain valuable insight into behavioral programs for high school students with emotional disturbance (ED), other health impairments (OHI), and ADHD, while collaborating closely with paraprofessional aides—opening doors to future leadership roles and broadening your expertise.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education required
• Valid state Special Education Teacher certification (or eligibility) for CT
• Experience supporting high school students with behavioral and/or emotional needs (ED, OHI, ADHD) preferred
• Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead instruction for a caseload of 11 high school students in a behavioral support program
• Adapt core academic content and integrate individualized supports
• Navigate collaboration with paraprofessionals and general education staff
