Licensed Practical Nurse

Employment Type: Full time Shift: Day Shift Description: JOB SUMMARY / PURPOSE ESSENTIAL KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 1.Utilize nursing process which includes patient assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning of nursing care, implementing interventions, and evaluation of patient status in relationship to above 2.Executes regimen prescribed by physician within guidelines of nursing practice 3.Performs and/or supervises activities/functions which require knowledge and skill level currently ascribed to the licensed practical nurse and seeks assistance when these are beyond scope of preparation 4.Provides leadership and direction in the supervision of others in carrying out the nursing process 5.Utilize nursing process which includes patient assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning of nursing care, implementing interventions 6.Executes regimen prescribed by physician within guidelines of nursing practice 7.Performs and/or supervises activities/functions which require knowledge and skill level currently ascribed to the licensed practical nurse and seeks assistance when these are beyond scope of preparation 8.Provides leadership and direction in the supervision of others in carrying out the nursing process MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Graduate of approved Nursing school Required Licensure and Certifications Current LPN license in State of Iowa Current basic Life Support for Healthcare providers from American heart Association Dependent Adult Mandatory reporter training 30 days upon fire and recertification every 5 years. Obtains education requires for license renewal.
