Occupational Therapist PRN

Johnston‑Willis Hospital is looking for self‑directed OT clinicians to provide compassionate, evidence‑based care for patients undergoing recovery. Job Summary Occupational Therapists at Johnston‑Willis Hospital play a vital role in helping patients regain independence and quality of life. You will work closely with physicians and an interdisciplinary care team to develop individualized care plans, administer therapy, monitor progress, document outcomes, educate patients and families, and coordinate transitions of care. Role Responsibilities Evaluate each patient’s functional abilities, determine goals, and develop individualized therapy plans. Deliver evidence‑based interventions that promote healing, independence, and self‑confidence. Monitor progress, modify plans as needed, and document performance to meet quality standards. Educate patients and families about self‑management and recovery planning. Collaborate with interdisciplinary partners to ensure seamless transitions of care. Provide guidance to therapy assistants or students and uphold HCA Healthcare values. Complete medical records, comply with department policy, and demonstrate fiscal responsibility. Engage in continuous learning and participate in student affiliation programs. Qualifications Education Graduation from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy approved by the American Medical Association. Licensure/Certification Licensed by the State of Virginia as an Occupational Therapist. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider. Experience Entry‑level positions: no experience required. Preferred: at least 1 year of experience in adult physical dysfunction.
