Allied Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available

Opportunity:

MRI Tech - MRI Tech

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour weekday shifts
• Perform technical MRI assignments using complex skill, judgment and knowledge of Magnetic Resonance Imaging principles
• Operate MRI equipment, coils and related equipment with accuracy
• Evaluate image quality and demonstrate accuracy of MRI positioning and coil selection
• Provide care to patients of all ages: infant, pediatric, adult and geriatric
• Utilize RIS system to enter and edit patient demographics and charges
• Demonstrate competency with PACS for image processing, image review, and protocol selection
• Ensure proper magnet safety protocols for self, patients and personnel
• Administer contrast media following prescribed techniques and recognize emergency situations
• Maintain mandatory 12 CEC hours per year in Radiologic Technology
• NYS License required
• Certification as radiologic, nuclear medicine or ultrasound technologist required
• BLS certification through AHA or RQI required
• A.A.S. degree in Radiologic Technology required
• AMA approved 2-year Radiology Technology program completion required
• Previous experience in diagnostic radiology required
• Experience with Siemens MRI machines preferred
• Formal MRI-specific training preferred
• 1-2 years experience in related radiology fields with MRI experience preferred
