Details 54-bed Emergency Department at a state-designated Level III Trauma Center and Level II Stroke Center ED treats more than 60,000 patients per year Nurse-to-patient ratios range from 1:1 for critical/trauma patients to 1:3-4 for all other patients All age groups served, including pediatric and adult patients EMR system is Meditech (experience not required) Mid-shift schedule: 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM Every other weekend required Holiday coverage required as scheduled Floating to other units and hospitals required 13-week contract Requirements Active AL or Compact RN license required — no pending or temporary licenses accepted, no license hits (past or current) allowed Associate degree in nursing (ADN) or higher required AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required TNCC certification required Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, with at least 1 year of recent ED experience Candidates with 18 months of total experience may be considered if at least 1 year is in emergency nursing NURSYS license verification required Current driver's license required for consideration Two professional references from within the last year required for consideration Additional Information ED team includes physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, and support staff providing 24/7 emergency care to the community All ED RNs are required to complete an on-site competency test in addition to an online pre-test prior to starting A Cardiac Exam will be administered as part of the onboarding process Orientation is conducted virtually and includes competency-based modules — no HealthStream modules required prior to start Timekeeping system is Centricity Solid navy scrubs required Local candidates are accepted at the same rates with no radius restrictions American Traveler Job ID #P-706826.
