Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult medical/surgical patients, focusing on safety, assessment, and comfort.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, monitor clinical status, and identify changes requiring escalation.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, document responses, and update the medical record accurately.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other team members; communicate clearly with patients and families; and provide education on procedures, medications, and discharge planning.
- Function independently when appropriate, respond rapidly in emergencies, and maintain infection control and patient safety standards.
- Protect patient confidentiality and adhere to Maine nursing practice standards and organizational policies.

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license (RN) in good standing.
- Demonstrated ability to function independently and manage care in a Med/Surg setting.
- Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills; proficient with electronic medical records.
- Ability to respond quickly to emergencies and maintain patient safety.
- Commitment to patient confidentiality and professional standards.
- Availability to work the night shift on a 13-week travel assignment in an inpatient medical/surgical unit.
