Security Supervisor

The Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all security operations and personnel to ensure the safety and protection of Laguna Development Corporation (LDC) properties, guests, employees, and assets. This role supervises and coordinates security officers, manages staffing assignments, provides training, enforces departmental policies and gaming regulations, and takes appropriate disciplinary action when necessary. The supervisor is responsible for maintaining security and safety standards by monitoring alarms, fire and safety systems, investigating incidents and violations, controlling access to secure areas, ensuring compliance with age and entry requirements, and responding to emergencies involving law enforcement, medical services, tribal authorities, and company leadership. Additional responsibilities include preparing incident and activity reports, administering reasonable suspicion drug testing, testifying in court when required, coordinating cash and vault escorts, protecting casino assets, providing guest escorts, managing traffic and crowd control, participating in emergency response and evacuation procedures, and maintaining professional, courteous interactions with guests, employees, vendors, and the public. The position also emphasizes guest service, team collaboration, leadership development through LDC programs, and the ability to work under pressure, including weekends, holidays, and irregular hours.

Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of law enforcement or security experience with demonstrated leadership abilities. Required certifications include First Aid, CPR, AED, Defensive Driving, Defensive Tactics, New Mexico Alcohol Server Permit, Crime Scene Investigation training, Title 31 Certification compliance, and LDC Urine Analysis testing certification and management training. The role requires proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, radios, Key watcher systems, Stream Manager surveillance systems, and operating vehicles. Physical requirements include extensive standing, walking, sitting, driving, talking, hearing, and repetitive hand use, along with lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, crouching, kneeling, crawling, and reaching as needed. Mental demands include problem-solving, decision-making, planning, organizing, interpreting data, and strong written and verbal communication skills. The Security Supervisor holds significant supervisory authority, including hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, promoting, disciplining, and terminating employees. Employment requires obtaining and maintaining a gaming license through the Pueblo of Laguna Gaming Control Board, possessing a valid driver's license, and successfully passing pre-employment alcohol and drug screening. The position is performed both indoors and outdoors with frequent exposure to loud environments.
