Schedule: Night Shift

Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours Per Week

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Labor & Delivery (L&D) for a 13-week night-shift contract position in Newport, Vermont. This role provides nursing care across Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery/Baby Unit services.

The RN must be flexible to float to other units as needed, including supporting overflow from the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) . Holiday coverage is required.

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care.

• Assess and monitor maternal and newborn status and respond appropriately to changes in clinical condition.

• Provide newborn and nursery nursing care while supporting patient and family education.

• Administer medications and treatments and maintain accurate clinical documentation using Cerner.

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members and float to other units, including PCU overflow, when required.

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) License Required Upon Acceptance.

• Minimum 5 Years of Relevant Nursing Experience Required.

• Current BLS/BCLS Certification Required.

• Current PALS and NRP Certifications Required.

• Current AWHONN Certification Required; Must Be Available for Required Night-Shift, Holiday, and Floating Coverage.

The Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse will provide skilled, patient-centered maternal and newborn care across Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery services.
