Job Overview A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join its team in the Detroit Metropolitan Area. This full-time hybrid role involves working primarily in the office with the option for some remote work. Duties Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and contracts. Provide legal advice under supervision in various practice areas. Participate in client meetings and conduct fact investigations. Prepare for hearings, depositions, and assist in trial preparation. Collaborate with senior attorneys and manage assigned case files. Ensure compliance with deadlines and procedural requirements. Requirements Strong foundation in law with the ability to interpret statutes and case law. Knowledge of labor and employment law, including workplace rights. Experience providing legal advice with sound judgment. Advanced research skills using electronic databases. Effective negotiation skills to support settlement discussions. Strong written and oral advocacy skills and attention to detail. Commitment to professional ethics and client service. Education Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Certifications Admission, or eligibility for admission, to practice law in Michigan. Skills Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines. Experience in personal injury, employment law, or business litigation preferred.
