Member Services Representative – Bilingual Spanish

Location: Alameda, CA (100% onsite)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Pay:  $28.61/hr (W2)(may be flexible based on experience)
Interview Process: Virtual interview (typically 1 round)

Position Overview

Member Services Representatives are the first point of contact for members and play a key role in delivering excellent customer service. This position handles a high volume of inbound/outbound calls and responds to member communications via phone, email, fax, letters, and chat—while documenting all interactions accurately in a CRM system.

Key Responsibilities

• Answer and manage high-volume inbound/outbound calls and other member inquiries
• Assist members with questions related to benefits, eligibility, claims, authorizations, pharmacy, and plan services
• Research issues across multiple systems, provide accurate solutions, and follow through to resolution
• De-escalate and professionally handle dissatisfied callers
• Document all conversations and outcomes accurately in the CRM/electronic database
• Coordinate with internal departments (Claims, Enrollment, Pharmacy, Authorizations, etc.) to resolve issues
• Support performance goals around quality, compliance, and member satisfaction

Required Qualifications

• Bilingual Spanish/English (required)
• • Bilingual proficiency exam required (must score 90%+)
• High school diploma or GED (required)
• At least 1 year of customer service experience (call center experience is a plus)
• Strong communication, active listening, and documentation skills
• Ability to work  onsite and maintain reliable attendance

Preferred Qualifications

• Managed care and/or health plan call center experience
• Familiarity with medical terminology
• Experience using CRM/customer service tracking tools
