TravelNurseSource is working with Revolution Healthcare Services to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Jackson, Tennessee, 38301!

Job Opportunity – Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse – Tennessee

Start Date: ASAP (Orientations held every Monday)

Location: Jackson, Tennessee

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 36-hour orientation; 4-5:1 patient ratio (days, nights, and weekends); daily census of 34 patients on a 36-bed unit

Highlights:

• Work with a diverse patient population including Oncology/Hematology and Medical-Surgical Telemetry patients
• Epic EMR required with documented experience within the past 18 months; Epic competency exam must be passed
• Must be willing to float to other Med-Surg/Telemetry units as needed
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and physical therapy
• Travel experience preferred; minimum 2 years of clinical experience required
• Active Compact or Tennessee state license required at time of submission

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Compact or Tennessee)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; travel experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience within the last 18 months (must be clearly documented)
• Experience with 5:1 patient ratios
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Two supervisory references required
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only); Flu vaccination required (no exemptions)

Clinical Skills:

• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Central line and PICC line care/management
• Blood product administration and IV insulin protocols
• BiPAP/CPAP and High Flow Nasal Cannula management
• Administration and monitoring of chemotherapy
• Wound care including wound vac management
• Management of patients with CVA, post-MI, renal failure, and neurosurgery
• PCA pumps, heparin protocols, and procedural sedation
• Experience with chest tubes, feeding tubes, tracheostomy care, and surgical drains
