Job Description
ICU Registered Nurse (RN) Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and skilled ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team. This vital role involves providing comprehensive care to critically ill patients, ensuring their safety and comfort, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver the highest standards of patient care. Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit.
- Monitor patient conditions, vital signs, and response to treatments.
- Administer medications and intravenous therapy as prescribed.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to create and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and health maintenance.
- Document all nursing care and patient progress accurately and timely.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to safety protocols.
- 1 year of recent full-time equivalent nursing experience within the last 3 years.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current Registered Nurse License in the state where care is provided.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field.
- Two (2) years of recent ICU nursing experience.
- NIH Stroke Scale Certificate.
- Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification preferred.
- Experience with dialysis, SLED, or equivalent preferred.
