The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in emergency care, with at least two years of experience in a hospital setting. Unit Information The Emergency Department features: Number of Beds: 34 - 44 Annual Visits: Approximately 44,000 Staff: 78 members including RNs and paramedics Patient Ratios: 1 RN to 4 patients Typical Responsibilities Implement and adhere to Stroke, Sepsis, and Trauma Protocols Perform triage and initiate IV therapy Administer moderate sedation as required Required Qualifications Active Compact License at the time of submission Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification Preferred Qualifications Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) certification Personality Traits The best candidates will exhibit: A positive and outgoing demeanor Strong work ethic Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team Dress Code Scrubs should be navy blue in color.
