This role will analyze product costs, material, labor, and overhead expenses; monitor inventory costs; perform monthly cost and variance analysis; and provide accurate financial insights to support pricing, purchasing, and operational decisions. The position will partner with cross-functional teams to identify cost drivers, trends, and opportunities for improved financial performance.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:Maintain and analyze material cost records, standard costs, and related costing data to support accurate financial reporting and business decisions.Perform periodic material cost updates and evaluate the financial impact of changes in raw material, labor, overhead, and supply costs.Perform monthly actual versus plan variance analysis for manufacturing expenses, production performance, inventory activity, and cost center results.Develop financial analytics, dashboards, and reports that summarize cost trends, inventory movements, expense performance, forecasted spending, and efficiency opportunities.Prepare periodic cost reconciliation reports, including analysis of changing labor, supply, freight, overhead, and inventory-related costs.Assist in budgeting and forecasting for manufacturing cost centers, including annual plan support, cost assumptions, and operational expense analysis.Analyze inventory valuation, inventory movements, obsolescence, discards, cycle count results, and physical inventory activity to support inventory accuracy and financial controls.Partner with Operations, Purchasing, and Finance to investigate cost variances, inventory discrepancies, and process improvement opportunities.Maintain fixed asset records and analyze depreciation, capital activity, and related expense impacts.Performs other related duties, as assigned.POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, supply chain, or related field desired.At least three years of related financial analysis, cost accounting, inventory analysis, or manufacturing finance experience required.Strong understanding of product costing, standard costing, variance analysis, inventory valuation, and manufacturing cost drivers preferred.Experience analyzing large data sets and developing financial reports, trend analysis, reconciliations, and actionable business insights required.Knowledge of US GAAP and SOX concepts preferred.Previous experience with ERP systems required; SAP experience preferred.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required; experience with analytics or reporting tools preferred.Nippon Paint Automotive Americas Inc. provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
