Maintenance Manager

Maintenance Manager The Maintenance Manager position is located in Litchfield Park, AZ. Responsibilities Manage a team and ensure equipment availability on all material handling and facility‑related equipment through daily involvement and a comprehensive preventative maintenance program. Provide leadership, direction, training, and guidance to associates. Manage the maintenance team to ensure 99.9% uptime on all production sewing machines, Eton conveyors, heat tunnels, and Gerber automated cutting equipment for the furniture upholstery business. Plan, design, budget, and facilitate projects related to the furniture upholstery business and distribution. Design, develop, and program controls systems. Manage and monitor the maintenance budget, eliminating outside services when possible and ensuring competitive pricing for goods and services. Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work environment through prevention, safety education, problem correction, employee training, and communication at all levels. Lead by example and support Williams‑Sonoma's mission, vision, and core values. Manage the productivity, accuracy, and efficiency of the distribution staff. Meet all required metrics and set new standards as the operation progresses. Drive continuous improvement and customer service. Provide written documentation on all maintenance activities, including system malfunctions, weekly timesheets, supply expenditures, inventory accuracy, and project plans. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal health, safety, and employment laws and regulations. Work harmoniously and cooperatively with peers and subordinates. Perform any additional duties assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. At least 5 years of supervisory/management experience in an industrial maintenance or distribution environment. Electrical and mechanical knowledge with hands‑on experience. Proven ability to design, develop, and program controls systems. Computer literate with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook. Understanding of power distribution requirements. Ability to read blueprints and diagrams. Strong team leader who can communicate effectively in both verbal and written form. Preferred Qualifications Associate’s degree in a related field. Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and controls experience. Physical Requirements Ability to work at heights and in unusual positions. Able to safely operate all hand tools. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds on a regular basis. Able to operate powered industrial equipment including forklifts, pallet‑jacks, and handcarts. Must tolerate exposure to heat, cold, noise, dust, and work around moving equipment, often while working in uncomfortable positions. Dexterous eye‑hand coordination, foot pedal use, and repetitive wrist motion. Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, interior/exterior noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours, and wet or uneven surfaces. Occasional repetitive motion and moderate noise levels. Comfortable with walking/standing 100% of the day.
