Mechanical Assembler - 1st Shift - Pay up to $19/hr

The pay range for this position is $37440.00 - $39520.00/yr.
Mandatory OT is rareInternal promotions, will cross train into any department even office openings Quarterly attendance bonuses Monthly profit sharing Outings, cornhole tournaments, cookouts, catered lunches Medical, dental, vision Company will pay 80% of monthly premium - 401k after 6 months of employment Short term and long term disability 2 weeks of PTO plus paid shut down between Christmas and New Years (total 3 weeks PTO) Very clean environment and top of the line CNC machine

Responsibilities
- Oversee the assembly of braking systems for various types of vehicles according to engineering specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to accurately build assemblies and components.
- Utilize a variety of hand and power tools to assemble parts to exact measurements and specifications.
- Measure materials and components accurately using a tape measure to ensure proper fit and function.
- Perform quality checks on assemblies and components to verify they meet established standards.
- Identify, document, and report any issues, defects, or nonconforming parts to the appropriate personnel.
- Adjust or rework assemblies as needed to correct defects and maintain quality requirements.
- Operate or assist with material handling equipment such as forklifts when required and if qualified.
- Collaborate with team members and support other tasks within the manufacturing area as needed.
- Follow all safety procedures, maintain a clean and organized work area, and care for tools and equipment.
- Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure.
- Experience working with hand tools and power tools in a mechanical or manufacturing setting.
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to understand how components fit and function together.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics (at least one year of blueprint reading experience preferred).
- At least one year of previous mechanical assembly experience preferred.
- Basic understanding of assembly processes and quality standards.
- Ability to lift 40+ pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Strong attention to detail to identify errors, defects, or nonconforming parts.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Reliability in attendance and punctuality to support consistent production.
