Resource Nurse

Major/Essential Functions Perform a wide variety of patient care activities in a specialty or subspecialty outpatient clinic as assigned from the resource nurse pool. Perform a variety of general and specialized nursing duties to provide the patient with complete evaluations. Work is performed under the direction of a licensed (RN/LVN) nurse or physician as part of a total health care team in providing complete evaluations to patients. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience working in a Health Science Center. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish. Required Qualifications Completion of a recognized program of nursing. One to two years of experience are preferred in a hospital, clinic or community based setting. Certification in the state of Texas as a Licensed Vocational or Registered Nurse. Pay Statement Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as the institutional pay plan.
