WCS Healthcare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a high-acuity Medical Step-Down Unit travel assignment in Atlanta, GA. This opportunity is ideal for nurses experienced in caring for medically complex adult patients requiring close monitoring and progressive care services.

Job Function:

• Shift: 48 hrs | 4x12 Nights.


• Deliver high‑quality patient care using the principles of Relationship‑Centered Care, integrating theory, research, and evidence‑based practice.


• Assess and evaluate patient needs while applying strong critical‑thinking skills to guide clinical decision‑making.


• Integrate comprehensive assessment and intervention skills into all aspects of nursing care.


• Prioritize patient care activities, including teaching, rounding, coaching, discharge planning, and appropriate delegation.


• Educate patients and caregivers about the plan of care, transitions of care, health promotion, and disease prevention—anticipating needs and readiness to learn.

Job Requirements:

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred


• Minimum 2 years of RN experience


• Step-Down or Progressive Care experience preferred


• Strong experience managing high-acuity medical patients


• Ability to work in a fast-paced acute care environment


• BLS


• ACLS
